A complete photo metadata viewer inspects more than basic camera exposure: it audits container byte size, color space profiles, MIME integrity, embedded GPS coordinates, and UTC timezone offsets—revealing both where and how a digital image was produced.
What is the difference between photo metadata and EXIF data?
EXIF is the camera hardware subset of photo metadata (shutter, ISO, GPS). Full photo metadata also includes file container properties, XMP editing history, IPTC copyright fields, and ICC color profiles.
Can I view photo metadata on iPhone and Android browsers?
Yes. Our responsive web instrument works directly in Safari and Chrome on mobile—just select a photo from your camera roll (choose "Actual Size" on iOS to preserve metadata).
What happens if a photo has no GPS metadata?
When GPS metadata is missing, you can immediately switch to the Optical Triangulation view to analyze visual terrain and infrastructure clues.
